Practice Types
01 Hatha Yoga
The word "Ha" means sun and "ta" means moon. “Hatha” means Yoga for establishing balance between the sun and moon or Pingala and Ida within you. Hatha Yoga is essentially physical preparation – preparing the body for a higher possibility. For each different level of consciousness or mental and emotional state you experience, your body naturally tends to assume certain postures. The opposite of this is the science of asana. Consciously putting your body into different postures while practicing Classical Yoga with a certain sense of humility and inclusiveness becomes a wonderful vessel, a wonderful device for elevating consciousness.
02 Power Yoga
It was born from the Ashtanga Yoga system and is a powerful practice that can be used as an "exercise". Power Yoga classes, founded by Byran Kest, Baron Baptiste and Beryl Bender Birch, create muscle tone, which helps develop strength and stability in the body. Consisting of intense repetitions accelerates the metabolism, regulates breathing and strengthens the lungs. It increases oxygen intake and heart rate. It accelerates fat burning, strengthens the immune system and reduces stress levels. In short, you get a good sweat :) So it has a detoxification effect.
02 Vinyasa Yoga
The first Vinyasa sequence that comes to our mind is the sun salutation. Vinyasa Yoga is a rhythmic "moving meditation". It refers to the alignment of movement with breathing. Focusing on continuous breathing as you flow through poses improves respiratory health, calms the mind, and increases focus and concentration. It can also help increase flexibility, strength, balance, calmness and focus. It is invigorating and creates heat, which helps improve cardiovascular health and speed up metabolism. At first, synchronizing the movement with your breathing in Vinyasa Yoga can be a little challenging and uncomfortable. However, once you get the hang of it and establish a rhythm that works for your body, Vinyasa can ultimately deepen your focus and comfort in movement.
04 Yin Yoga
Kaygı, mutluluk, üzüntü, rahatlama, can sıkıntısı...
05 Aerial Yoga
We cannot say for sure when and where hammock yoga came from, but we do know that BKS Iygengar introduced the use of assistive props in asanas and hung his students upside down.
Hammock Yoga is a combination of art and athleticism that provides improved flexibility, stability and balance; Hanging upside down and inverting is said to reduce pressure on joints, which can become tight over time due to gravity and age. Hammock yoga has specific benefits for strengthening and stretching the entire body, reducing pressure on the spine, improving circulation, improving digestion, and improving one's mood. Perhaps most notable is that levitation somehow provides an unparalleled sense of security.
“Some describe this feeling as being in a cocoon, which can be particularly comforting when healing from trauma.” -Quattrocchi
*It is not recommended for pregnant women or those who have vertigo problems due to the turning movements made during the lesson.
06 Meditation
Meditation is the foundation of self-care. Just like our bodies need regular cleansing, meditation is also the need of our mind. It is not a one-time process, but a lifelong process.
Our mind may actually be the room in our house that we neglect the most, and it is the one that gets tired the most. Meditation; It allows us to connect with ourselves, others and life; As a result, it becomes a tool for the individual to find himself. It sharpens your perception, finds sources of inspiration, builds psychological resilience, and is the compassionate space where learning happens. The truth heals. Meditation also means focusing and deepening in order to reach the nature of reality.
There are different types of meditation; such as conscious awareness, body scan, mantra, metta, tonglen, visualization, candlelight, walking, chakra meditation... You can do meditation practices according to your needs, and although we say "doing" meditation, it is not actually about "doing" meditation.
You can improve your yoga asana practice with meditation, and likewise, yoga asana practices help you sit in meditation more comfortably.
